Abstract
The Latin American Network of Assisted Reproduction (REDLARA) was founded in 1995 with 50 clinics around all South America. The idea was to create a database for clinics that performed Assisted Reproduction in South America, where we could identify how we perform comparing to US (SART) or European clinics and also we would have our own data. The REDLARA developed very fast and in 1997 the Accreditation Program started. This program was created to standardize all the clinics participating in this Association and therefore to toughen up the data collected. It was very important to have minimal parameters that all the clinics should follow, because we could compare performance between regions and also compare the clinics data with data from the same region you belong, for example. Another reason is to set a comittement to excellence where in order to participate in this association the clinic should have some minimal quality control and quality assurance. This only would help make your clinic to improve your quality control parameters, and therefore your clinical results. Nowadays there are over 200 clinics and still growing. Today there is ethical committee, educational committee and we are always trying to adapt to the very fast changes that happens around us.
