Abstract
A special condition of access to blood and human fluids (follicular and seminal) of couples in assisted reproduction clinics therefore provides an ideal opportunity to observe in vitro the gametes, embryo quality and try to identify potential effects of environmental contaminants as lead and cadmium in human reproduction . This is the basis of our environmental study within a Multidisciplinary Study Group for Reproductive Health, which has been developed since 2005. A critical view of scientific information from multi-and interdisciplinary areas will certainly improve reproductive health . The plausibility of the environmental effect, if possible to be demonstrated, provides another paradox, the couples who may then need an assisted reproduction technique, that also involve environmental potential problems to gametes and embryos.
