Abstract
This paper investigates some characteristics of psychological research carried out during the last thirteen years in the Human Reproduction field. In such effort four main Internet search engines (www.scielo.br, www.bireme.br/medline/lilacs, www.portaldapesquisa.com.br/psycinfo, www.teses. usp.br, www.capes.gov.br/teses dissertações) and theses databases were used to survey the following topics: infertility, anxiety, depression, stress, emotions, and psychological aspects. Out of a total of 150 articles found, 103 of them were assessed in detailed to compose this paper. Five of the selected articles referred to graduated studies essays (two Master degrees and three PhD dissertations) and were analyzed separately from the other articles, which were published in scientific magazines. The assessment of the content of the different articles allows for a review about the results of research in this area as well as the key ideas of the most representative research groups in this field.
