In the last 6 years, several time-lapse (TL) image systems have been introduced with the aim of improving the parameters of success in IVF/ICSI. The continuous observation in the laboratory of images of embryonic development combined with reduced handling of embryos is alluring for embryologists. In addition, the ability to review the morphokinetic aspects at any time creates a favorable basis for decreasing the variability associated with individual analyses.
