Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To compare the parameters obtained from routine check in doppler ultrasound of 11-14 weeks‘ gestation products microinjection (ICSI) of fresh oocytes and post-warming. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Retrospective, descriptive and transversal study, realized at the Mexican Institute of Infertility from April 2011 to December 2012. Were included 67 patients who achieved pregnancy through ICSI cycles and underwent Doppler ultrasonography of 11-14 weeks‘ gestation. Group I: n = 36 (fresh oocytes) and group II (vitrified and post-warming oocytes) n = 31 patients. We evaluated patient age, weight, malformations, uterine artery pulsatility and umbilical, nasal bone presence, nuchal translucency and wave. We considered standard values: Uterine Artery 1.5-2.6 cm / sec, Umbilical Artery 0.90-1.9 cm/sec, nuchal Translucency < 2.8mm1. STATISTICAL ANALySIS: was performed using student t test considering statistical significant difference p < 0.05. RESULTS: For group I the mean age was 37 years and 34 for group II. We transfer an average of 3 embryos per patient. The mean pulsatility index of the umbilical artery for group I was 1.9 and for group II was 1.3cm/secund. The mean uterine artery pulsatility for group I was 1.6 and for group II was 1.8cm/secund. Table 1. Reported absence of the wave in the only case of malformation (trisomy 18) in group I. CONCLUSIONS: We found higher pulsatility index of the uterine and umbilical arteries for the group I (fresh oocytes). nevertheless, results in both groups were within normal values.
