Abstract

It is estimated that approximately 5 million children conceived by assisted reproduction techniques have been born since 1978. Although infertility is considered an independent risk factor for health problems, therapeutic interference on biopsychosocial aspects of those children has been suspected. This article aims to condense the information available about growth, infantile diseases, neurological, psychosocial and familiar development of children conceived by assisted reproduction techniques.
