JBRA Assisted Reproduction
EDITORIAL
The JBRA AssistedReproduction grows and has been showing successive changes in the last two years, seeking to make the content of the publication more “visible”. That means the articles published here have a progressively higher sieve evaluation by the editorial board in order to obtain a greater range of reading and appreciation by the scientific community in general.
One of the major steps to take now is internationalization. Scientific journals from countries such as China, South Korea, Russia and Brazil have intensified this process. Our journal, from the point of view of Latin America, already advanced when we joined forces with REDLARA, building a robust (yet shy)representation in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. But we have to work our “impact factor”, measured by the number of articles published in English, quotes by other countries and by publishing articles written by foreign researchers, among other indicators. One criticism in the scientific market to the existence of many journals is that the quality of a publication falls in them by the low rejection of articles submitted.
However, the reality is that we have a space to fight for. We are witnessing this real place in the system for very good scientific production, not accepted by the better ranked international journals. However, this is not enough in the race for internationalization. In 2013 we are experiencing the publication of papers in English and have receivd papers from other countries outside the Latin American community. It is the globalization of knowledge and we shall be ready to follow these directions.
Right now we study several innovations to give greater flexibility and transparency to standard procedures of the journal, again and always with the clear INTENT to the visibility of publications.
Wait, fellow readers and partners, the new features coming up in December.
