Education in REDLARA, the network

Education is one of the fundamental pillars of the REDLARA, along with the accreditation, registration and ethical issues in all the centers of our region. Differences inherent in each country are recognized, but there are much more affinities that unite us.

The basis of our partnership is education. Since the accreditation, meet the basic requirements or not, suggestions for improvement are offered. Additional training in accredited centers are also promoted. The 22-year record of the Latin American Registry is the first record with multinational case by case report. Our data is very valuable, not only for the region in general, but for each individual country. Let`s learn from our experience, and further disseminate internationally as is the case of ICMART. Ethical education includes workshops and publications of guides developed by expert committees aspects. These affect legal cases, such as it was in Costa Rica, in favor of infertile couples and their human rights in international courts.

Our prestigious PEC Online is ten years old and have graduated to date in the Clinical Course 240 specialists and 200 others in Embryology. In 2013 we are taking 32 in the clinical area and 38 in Embryology. We are committed to updating and improving it, or implement new specific modules on line in different areas of the ART. There are agreements with the universities of Barcelona, Buenos Aires and Chile for masters (clinical and laboratory), and where students are graduating they are generating scientific papers. Five annual regional workshops and a biannual congress are conducted. Science programs are very attractive and with great attendance and participation of partners and renowned international faculty.

The education committee will be now expanding to the multitude of activities that are involved: PEC on line, manuals, clinical guidelines and laboratory science programs workshops, new online learning modules. Taking advantage of technological advances in cybernetics and generous welcome of SBRA, the prestigious JBRA Assisted Reproduction will be on line in 2014. These possibilities expand our limits of reaching colleagues.

The Red and our enthusiasm grow by leaps and bounds. Now REDLARA includes both centers and individuals and academic activities are diversified. Not limited to the workshops and publications, but broadcast on line in multiple versions, taking advantage of technological advances that bring more students with tutors. Scholarships and supports are available in the international masters. No scholarship, but changes are intended action. ART practices in the region are now more efficient and safe. Challenges remain, but our strength is the enormous professional and human quality of our prominent union members who work in education. The appreciation of our committee is sincere.
