P-165. Noninvasive preimplantation genetic test for aneuploidy (niPGT-A) in human blastocysts: a systematic review

Objective: To systematically review current literature on the diagnostic accuracy of non-invasive preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (niPGT-A) in comparison with the conventional technique, based on embryo trophectoderm biopsy.
Methods: We proceeded a systematic, non-meta-analytic search of studies related to niPGT-A in PubMed, Scielo, and Cochrane Library databases, published up to March 4, 2025. The search was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) Statement. Data were extracted and synthesized using the Synthesis Without Meta-analysis guidelines.
Results: The results indicated that, although niPGT-A shows promising performance and potential to reduce risks to embryo integrity, it still faces important limitations, such as poor standardization of laboratory protocols, maternal DNA contamination, and failures in cell-free DNA amplification.
Conclusion: niPGT-A may represent a viable alternative for embryo selection, but still requires clinical validation through controlled and multicenter studies before its routine incorporation into clinical reproductive practice.
