EDITORIAL
After several months of hard work, the members of the Organizing Committee and Scientific of SBRA 2013 - XVII Brazilian Congress on Assisted Reproduction are pleased to present to you our annual event, taking place in the city of Bonito, Mato Grosso do Sul.
Bonito deserves the name it has and the city has been awarded several times as the best ecotourism destination in Brazil.
The municipality is located on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Bodoquena and have rivers of transparent waters, prehistoric caves, waterfalls, archeological sites, plus a wide variety of fish and wildlife. Much diversity conquered tourists interested in adding beautiful landscapes to adventure sports.
At first glance, Bonito is a sleepy village with just over 15,000 inhabitants. It’s on the farms surrounding the small urban area that are hidden natural treasures. Tourism is organized on a system to control visitation, that results in an exemplary case of nature conservation.
Despite the economic turmoil that the world is currently experiencing, and our country is not exempt them, we got enough support from companies that believed in our project, based in the credibility achieved in previous events, and the potential of Assisted Human Reproduction in Brazil.
This event would not be realized without the support of all members of the executive committees and the scientific group that worked in the submitted abstracts. I express here my personal thanks to Dr. Edson Borges Jr. and Daniela Paes de Almeida Ferreira Braga who worked extensively in the scientific grid.
We welcome the inclusion of clinical cases with stimulating debate, allowing greater interaction with participants of the congress. The 16 selected oral presentations and 87 posters, sources of knowledge diffusion are among the highlights of the scientific program. The invited specialists of the Assisted Human Reproduction from Brazil and the international ones bring brightness to the event.
It is with great joy, satisfaction, privilege and honor that I received the opportunity to stand as president of the XVII Brazilian Congress on Assisted Reproduction. Together, we will continue to fight for better infertility patient care, to conduct and expand scientific research and disseminate education among those that enter this specialty.
A big hug and all are very welcome! See you around in the cocktail on August 22 and on day 23 at the dinner party.
