Abstract

The anti-Mullerian hormone is currently an excellent ovarian reserve marker. Both blood and follicular fluid dosage provides the physician several advantages over other markers such as FSH, Inhibin B and antral follicles count. Through this examination, simple and low complexity, faced with valuable information that will guide the physician in his clinical management. Despite scientific advances and results have already been confirmed in several published studies, there are somedoubts about this hormone. This review paper aims to synthetize and also elucidates current information about this hormone either on female physiology as on some pathologies such as endometriosis and polycystics ovary syndrome, and on the outcome of assisted reproduction techniques. At the same time, this review also shows the need for further scientific research of the Anti-Mullerian hormone.
