Introduction:The impact factor (IF) of a journal reflects the average number of citations of articles published in a given journal, evaluating the importance of it in its area, although subject to criticism. Another assessment by indexers, came up with the creation of base LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences) by BIREME. Methods:We sought publications JBRA assisted Reproduction in the period 2000-2010, analyzing the influence of a scientific article in a magazine, as measured by the number of cited references, the total number of references in a proper period surveyed, the relationship between the number of references from international magazines and full of references used in the magazine, the evolution of the number of references that contributed to publications in journals for 2, 3 and 4 years earlier and a list of articles made with foreign collaboration. Results:The number of references in JBRA mainly increased from 2008 to 2010 and the value of scientific influence as an article by SJR grew in the years 2009 to 2010. The total number of references received the correct documents published during the period 2004 to 2010 increased considerably. From 2008-2010 there was considerable increase in total references used, including internationally. Increased international contributions have been achieved with Latin America participation. Conclusion:The SCImago collection today includes the JBRA assisted reproduction and the next point is to be included in the SciELO database.
