Controlled ovarian hyperstimulation is very important for the realization of highly complex techniques such as in vitro fertilization. However, in poor responder patients, the induction of ovulation becomes a big challenge, therefore it is no uncommon the cycle cancellation due to failure in ovulatory response. Numerous protocols for ovulation induction are used to achieve success in these patients. Basically the control- led ovarian hyperstimulation can vary in type and dosa- ge of gonadotrofins, associated Eith the various proto- cols in use or not of agonist and /or antagonist analogs, and yet supporting medications that can improve ovulatory response. The aim of this revised bibliography was to show the innumerable protocols of induction ovulation available in literature and to try to identify the most effective proto- cols in poor responders patients.
