Abstract
Progresses in the knowledge and technology of human oocyte in vitro maturation allowed considerable improvements in implantation and pregnancy rates. This case report describes a quadruplet pregnancy and birth achieved after the transfer of embryos created by ICSI of in vitro matured oocytes collected in an unstimulated cycle. This is the first multiple pregnancy achieved in our group after IVM and to our knoEledge this is the first quadruplet pregnancy achieved after human oocyte in vitro maturation. The gestation happened after a series of single pregnancies and, similar to the situation in classic stimulated cycles, it suggests that time has come to decrease the number of IVM embryos for transfer by critical embryo selection.
