Abstract

In their quest for a child, infertile couples embark on a journey that is full of expectations and hopes. Couples undergoing treatment can experience some degree of emotional stress due to disappointment if pregnancy is not achieved. Infertility is frequently perceived by the couple as an enormous emotional strain. The infertile couple becomes anxious and builds expectations towards the Reproduction Treatment. This paper emerges from the experience of the author as a member of a multidisciplinary team operating in a public hospital based gynecology unit, in the Reproductive unit.
