Abstract
The objective of this work was to report our experience with GV culture media, produced in Brazil, as alternatives to imported media. In our country, the import of these products has frequently caused problems, especially in regard to difficulties in storage and logistics. We have used The GV media in 100 patients with embryo transfer on day 3 after oocyte pick-up. We have obtained fertilization rates of 71.44%, ongoing pregnancies of 38.77% and implantation of 14.75%. These results are similar to those described in the literature, but with fewer oscillations in the implantation and pregnancy rates. Therefore, we conclude that the GV media produced in Brazil, present similar results to imported media, with the advantage of being used fresher without the great oscillations in temperature and storage conditions experienced during transportation.
