Abstract
Over the last 30 years methods of cryopreservation of gametes, embryos and germinative tissues had been developed whose main objective is to preserve the fertility. The applied methodology of oocyte cryopreservation still is considered experimental. However, the positive results give us hope and the inside that soon this methodology will be used routinely in Human Reproduction clinics. The proposal of this article is to argue from the biological point of view the new approaches of the oocyte cryopreservation in relation to the existing methods and to enhance the importance of the embryologist and the use of cryobiology as an applied science.
