Abstract
This research studied 499 infertile couples, with prevalence of 6,8% of positive sperm culture for several bacterial agents. The most frequent was the hemolytic streptococcus 6, with a frequency of 32,4%. ln the cases of positive sperm culture, the linear progressive fast motility changed in 62% of the cases, and the fast plus slow progressive motility, linear or non-linear, changed in 53% of the cases. Therefore, sperm culture is a useful exam in introductory studies of infertility to track especially the asymptomatic partners in infertile couples.
