Abstract
The procedure of keeping a full bladder in order to ease ultrasonographic visualization during embryo transfer could give rise to some questioning, especially regarding early movement leading to urination. Since this would occur soon after embryo transfer, what would the consequences of this effort on intrauterine positioning of the embryo be? A controlled abdominal ultrasonographic study following a total of 30 embryos transfers confirmed that the drop of material of the intrauterine transfer was not displaced in the direction of the internal orifice of the uterine neck. Therefore, early movement and bladder emptying by the patient may not after the results of "in vitro" fertilization procedures.
