Abstract
Male and specially female infertility prevalence in the developing countries report important rates, making conjugal infertility a medical-social problem. ln the past, researches of factors that impede pregnancy of human beings were carried out without real scientific basis and only based on a series of taboos, prejudices, and also cunnings. However, approximately two and a half decades ago, these factors are been analyzed, studied and submitted to an appropriate therapeutic, in order to solve the impossibility of conceiving and to give and end to the affliction and frustration that affects these human beings. This evaluation must be optimum and updated in accordance with the last technologic studies, and overall, following guidelines and cri teria issued by specialized international organizations, in order to standardize results, therapeutics, and prognostics. This document is based on the mentioned cri teria, but basically, on our personal and institutional experience.
