Abstract
The ultrassound guided oocyte retrieval technique by the way of the vagina has been evident in benefit to the patients. As it is a less invasive procedure, avoiding endo-tracheal tubing and allowing for a fast recovery. ln spite of its simplicity, the technique is not free of complications. The present case shows
a vascular lesion of a small artery in ovarian hilum, that was enough for causing acute haemorrhage, thus requiring an urgent laparotomy.
