To evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of the hysterosalpingography (HSG) in relation on the laparoscopy and hysteroscopy in female infertility. Five hundred patient with age varying from 22 to 40 years under investigation in infertility, underwent the evaluation for hysterosalpingography, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. This study compared the results obtained in the three evaluation types. ln the cases of tubeuterine alterations there were 20% of false negative results and 3% of false positive for HSG, verifying a sensibility and the specificity 80% and 97% respectively. ln the endouterine alterations there were false negative results in 23% and false positive in 2% for HSG, with a sensibility and specificity of 77% and 98% respectively. HSG showed low sensibility and we conclude that the negative results need complementary exams.
