Abstract
The authors report a case of triplet pregnancy established after in vitro fertilization (IVF) - surrogacy. The commissioning mother had her uterus removed due to multiple myomas, and thereafter, decided to join in a surrogacy program together with her niece, who became the IVF-surrogate mother. The authors describe the details of the IVF cycle, the evolution and outcome of the surrogate pregnancy. They also analyse ethical and legal aspects related to IVF-surrogacy worldwide, and final1y, discuss the higher risk of multiple pregnancy and its complications within surrogacies programs.
