P-021. Evaluating the impact of hyaluronan-rich transfer medium in the pregnancy rate of frozen embryos transferred

Objective: To analyze clinical pregnancy rate in patients who underwent frozen embryo transfers (FET) that were cultured in hyaluronan-rich transfer medium post thawing.
Methods: Retrospective, observational study performed at a reproductive medicine center, using data collected between August, 2024 and February, 2025. Only frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycles were included. All 311 transfers were divided into two groups: Group 1) hyaluronan-rich medium (Embryo Glue® - Vitrolife) (n=150), and group 2) Standard culture medium (n=161). Within each group the embryos were divided in euploid group and a group of embryos with no PGT analysis. All embryos post thawing were maintained in hyaluronic acid (group1) or culture medium (group 2) about 3 hrs before transferring and only one embryo was transferred each time. The statistical analysis was carried out using the chi-square test, considering p<0.05.
Results: The results are below (table 1). No statistical difference was found in clinical pregnancy rate between group 1 vs. group 2 p=0.257*, neither from the euploid groups p=0.32**, or within the no PGT analysis p=0.48***.
Conclusion: These preliminary results showed that the hyaluronic acid does not improve clinical pregnancy rate. Either biopsied or non biopsied embryos. A larger sample should be tested to confirm the results obtained in this report.
